Missy Elliott is back with new flava in ya ear. After dropping her Pharrell-produced single “Pep Rally” last year, the hip-hop trailblazer surprises with a brand new single called “I’m Better.”
Produced by Lamb (Beyoncé, Monica) and written by Missy, the trap-infused track is accompanied by a video, which she co-directed with her longtime collaborator Dave Meyers (“Lose Control,” “Work It”).
The visual spectacular features avant-garde fashion, underwater choreography, and Missy’s magic. From black bobs to crimped blonde hair, the rap icon switches up her look while boasting about bandz and “dudes in Orlando.”
A documentary is set to follow this year. Watch the teaser, which features commentary from Pharrell, Busta Rhymes, and Sylvia Rhone, below.
